Rockwood Child Nutrition Services can provide nutritious and tasty meals for groups during their stay at Babler Outdoor Education Center. Meals are expertly prepared by caring staff members in the professional kitchen on site. Groups can enjoy a wide range of choices, from a continental breakfast to a roast turkey and stuffing dinner, from pizza for lunch to s’mores for dessert!
Come and see what our dedicated staff can prepare for you! Food service can be arranged through Rockwood School District Child Nutrition Services by calling (636) 733-3259.
All meals are served cafeteria style. Groups will work with Rockwood Child Nutrition Services to pick a menu, schedule meal times and discuss details of their meal.
Food service is available for groups of 50 or more. For groups of fewer than 50, food service may be available if the group agrees to pay for 50 meals. Food service is billed separately than usage charges for the facility and will require a separate deposit. Groups must notify Rockwood Child Nutrition Services of any changes in the number of meals requested 10 days prior to arrival. Each group will be financially responsible for the estimated number of meals on the application or the number of people actually served, whichever is greater.
Groups that reserve the OEC for their use are welcome to provide all of their own meals during their stay. A refrigerator and freezer are available for group use in the Dining Hall and Recreation Hall. A small kitchenette is located in the Rec Hall and barbeque pits are located throughout OEC. The professional kitchen in the Dining Hall is not available for use by rental groups during their stay without a Child Nutrition Services staff member.
