Half day classes are a great way to have fun and learn new skills in a small group setting. Classes are taught and supervised by BablerWiLD staff and many include the option of a morning or afternoon session! Classes will be held inside Babler State Park at either the Babler OEC Outpost, the Babler Outdoor Education Center, or the Walnut Grove Shelter.

Archery | July 1
Learn to shoot a bow and arrow under the close supervision of the BablerWiLD staff. This class is designed for beginners with minimal experience and all equipment is provided. No outside equipment will be allowed.
Outdoor Skills | July 2
Learn first hand what it takes to light a fire and build a survival shelter. This is a great introduction to some important survival skills!
Fishing | July 3
Cover the basics and then let's go fishing! All participants will learn to bait a hook, use a bobber, and cast a closed face reel. We will practice these skills on our stocked OEC pond. Fishing poles and bait will be provided. No outside equipment will be allowed.
Due to the Nature of this program, classes are weather dependant. Class will be cancelled in the event of thunder/lightening, heavy rains, or a heat index of 110 degrees or more. If necessary, decisions to cancel will be made by 8:00pm the evening before the scheduled class. Participants will be notified by email and telephone numbers provided at the time of registration. Participants will recieve a full refund in the case of cancelations due to weather.
